It is a little funny trying to figure out what to wear to a wedding during this not-quite-fall-but-no-longer-summer time of year. We are all putting away our whites and pastels and pulling out our darker, fall colors. It can be tricky because we still have days where the temps could get into the 80s, so a wintery material or color feels a little premature.
As tempting as it is to go to black because you can’t really go wrong with a classic LBD, I am determined to get out of my comfort zone and find some beautiful hues that are suitable for this transitional time. Here are some ideas that I pulled for inspiration.
Prabal Gurung ~ $2,995, image via
Roland Mouret ~ $1,455, image via
andddddddddddd the back. pretty awesome right?
Miu Miu ~ $2,055, both images via
This Elizabeth and James Porter Dress is a similar look at a much more affordable price.
Still Pricey But Not As Over The Top
Sue Wong ~ $530 ~ Not a good color for me (I’m pale) but a really nice transition to fall color, image via
If you like volume, try this Halston Heritage Red One-Shoulder Dress ~ $295, image via
Halston Hertage One-Shoulder Stripe Dress ~ $425, image via
Cheaper, But Still Chic
Donna Morgan Silk Chiffon Strapless Dress ~ $178, image via
Amanda Uprichard Strapless Tiered Skirt Dress ~ on sale for $65, image via
OK I know I said no black, but this is really cute for the price.
