Happy Monday!!  Let’s talk about summer books.  What is on your list?  Every year, I get super ambitious, buy a bunch of books and end up getting through only one or two. I’m really trying to read more at night instead of watching TV. . . yeah, not going so well. Anyway, right now I’m reading the Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls. I bought it last year and never read it. I think it is pretty good so far ~ let’s just say it is not what I expected.  But I will let you know what I think when I’m done!  I also recently read Delancey and really enjoyed Molly’s restaurant-opening journey.

I may be one of the few people in the world that doesn’t read books on an iPad or a Kindle.  What can I say ~ I guess I am kind of old school that way.   I know I am really late to this party, but Unbroken is on my list.  Also, I will probably read Emily Giffin’s new book ~ she is an Atlanta native, after all!  What’s on your summer list? I would love to know.

Now let’s get to some delicious things!! Here are some links I’ve been loving lately:

This cherry ginger granola with apricots is the perfect breakfast.

For Atlantans, an epic restaurant list to peruse.

DIY label herb planters ~ maybe I can turn my thumb green?

Loving this healthy broccoli slaw recipe with yogurt mint dressing and radishes!

Delicious nicoise salad with sesame seared tuna.

Move over McDonald’s. . check out this epic bacon and egg grilled cheese breakfast sandwich.

Fresh blueberry and mint lemonade sounds incredible.

Definitely bookmarking this picnic chicken marinade.

I would love to go blueberry picking and make this cake!

A glazed donut is simply a beautiful thing.

A simple salmon pasta dish that will keep you cool in summer!

Coconut basil chicken with brown rice ~ this is perfect fakeout takeout!

This healthy chocolate peanut butter smoothie takes snack time to the next level.

Fried green tomatoes over basil goat cheese grits ~ a stellar southern breakfast!!

Hope your week is off to a great start!!

  1. I’ve been reading The Goldfinch and love it! But it is CRAZY long. I also second Erin. The Fault in our Stars is AMAZING.

Thanks for featuring my fried green tomatoes!

  2. Loooove the chocolate peanut butter smoothie idea. Been meaning to make more smoothies this summer and will definitely have to try it.
